Intro Exercise VoiceThread Places

From the Mystery Places- which one did you choose? Why? How did you annotate? If you are elver, you may link, embed, etd!

Wiki Exercise:

What is NOT a story? Why?

An abstract image--no events depicted or reliably inferred.
A list of numbers
A melody can trigger a story or a flood of associations--but is it a story in itself?
A map

Great advice from Bryan Alexander: start with the frisson. (gives me the shivers just to think of it.)

What else would you add to your story place as a description or a lead in to what else might happen next?

The clouds seemed to say something was wrong. An "x" of dry sticks warned me away. The lone window in the house stared without blinking. Even the red door looked malignant.

red flowers

As I approached the door, I saw dried flowers on the door step. They were the color of pigeon's blood in winter.

I entered the house anyway. It was bare, musty, and dark. I felt small, miserable, and strangely drowsy. I sat on the floor next to the flowers. Their small petals began to blur as I felt my head drooping. I must have fallen asleep. When I awoke, the house and flowers had vanished. Only an angry sky remained.

What other CC licensed media did you find? What tool(s) did you use? Now that you have more media for your story, what happens next?

Character Voicing

Formulate your main character. Describe traits, physical description, influences, etc. Include lunks to twitter narrative or an xtranormal video of a treatment.

Finishing Your Story

What was the ending your group drew? How will you reach it?
